Ministries
Outreach-what does
that mean? Literally it means to reach out, to try and influence
something that isn’t close to you. We want to reach out to those
around us that have needs. It doesn’t stop there, however. We
don’t just want to reach out to those in need; we want to be a
positive influence to those in need.
God has not called us
to only encourage and help our own members and attendees; rather
he has brought us together so that we can take the “good news”
to all who will listen. You would expect to hear that from a
Baptist Church, but look at that statement in this context:

We proclaim the
good news by feeding the hungry and clothing the needy.

We proclaim the
good news by engaging the community in social events.
-
We proclaim the
good news by performing community service.
-
We proclaim the
good news by assisting in the general health of the
community.
-
We proclaim the
good news by example in all that we do.
It is our sincere
desire that you will hear our message of the good news by
noticing what we do long before you hear what we are saying. As
you explore all that this website offers, may we challenge you
in one of three ways:

Let us know of a
need where we can make a difference, or
-
Pray for us as we
continue to do God’s will, or
-
Join us and
together we will continue to spread the “good news” by
action in our community.
